WA: Alleged people smugglers remanded
Six Indonesian men have appeared in a court for allegedly attempting to smuggle 79
boat people into Australia in two separate incidents.
ACHMAD MUKLIS .. SAMSIR ALI TOPAN and HAMIRUDIN are accused of trying to smuggle 44
people into Australia.
They were intercepted in December last year by the navy near Ashmore Island .. west of Darwin.
They were charged under the Migration Act and have been remanded in custody until April 3.
